Secret Santa & Holiday Recipe Secrets
Hi Everyone! As we all know, the holiday season can be, and sometimes is, the most stressful time of the year. There's traditional food to be made, gifts for everyone to be bought (even for your crazy aunt), cards to write and send, AND, on top of all of that madness, you signed up for Secret Santa. Don't get me wrong, Secret Santa can be the best part of celebrating the season with friends. However, if you pick the one person you're not familiar with, this wonderful holiday game can turn into a real pain. Here's what I do when in that kind of situation: I ask them the following questions (or get someone else to help me get the information). What's your favorite color? What are your hobbies? What do you like to eat? And, if there are themes, even better!
Now, every year my family gives out this holiday treat we call White Trash to just about all of my friends and teachers. This year, my social group somehow expanded exponentially and trying to
figure out who gets what has to be the hardest thing. There's no way I could easily leave off certain people from my list. But it had to be done. I've had years where I gave out too many portions of White Trash to remember, but it was way to much work. This time of year means relaxing and enjoying time with family, and spending all of that time cooking defeats the purpose.
Right now you might be thinking: "Wait, what is White Trash?" Well, it's a mixture of coco puffs, pretzels, cheerios, chex mix cereal, m&ms, and sometimes peanuts all covered in white chocolate. Try it yourself if you want, but be careful. It's really addictive. Ask any one of us 5 IB Survivalists.
