Just in case y'all have never come across this website, https://readability-score.com is a great place to research some statistics about what you're reading or writing. First of all, it's easy to use! All you have to do is paste some text into the box and the stats come up on the side. It mainly shows you the "Reading Ease" of the text:
Next, they show who should be expected to read the text, or the average grade level:
Finally, it gives statistics such as character, syllable, and word count:
